Meet Immanuella! ✨

We’re so excited to welcome Immanuella to the City Year Tulsa team for the 2026–2027 school year! ❤️

One thing she’s especially looking forward to this year is celebrating and honoring the people who make a difference in her school community. From Hispanic Heritage Month to Custodian Appreciation, Immanuella is excited for the upcoming events that give students, school staff, and Corps members the opportunity to recognize, celebrate, and thank those who deserve it.

We’re so happy she joined the Memorial Middle School team and can’t wait to see the impact she makes on students throughout the school year! ⭐️

We officially kicked off another year of service! ❤️💛

Last Friday, our City Year Tulsa AmeriCorps members came together for Opening Day to celebrate the start of an incredible year ahead. We introduced our school teams, showed off some school pride, and celebrated the people who are ready to show up, serve, and make an impact across Tulsa.

We’re so excited to see what this year holds for our corps members and the students and communities they’ll serve. Here’s to a year of learning, growing, serving, and making a difference! 🎉

One of Eudocia’s favorite memories from her time with City Year was being part of Café Con Leche, a Latinx community affinity group she helped create with fellow Corps members. ☕️

Every two weeks, the group came together to talk about their community, practice Spanish, and teach other Corps Members Spanish words and phrases. It was a space to connect with one another, celebrate their culture, and learn how they could better connect with and serve their Spanish-speaking students.

For Eudocia, Café Con Leche became a special part of her City Year experience—a reminder of the community she found, the relationships she built, and the impact they could make together.

We love hearing about the memories that made City Year special for our alumni! ❤️
