Desinet a non profit, located in Tucson, AZ, is a comprehensive, well-curated, digital platform that
connects members with essential services, resources, and support networks they need to thrive. It serves as a one-stop digital hub that carefully curates and organizes essential resources across
multiple categories, including:
● Home and Property Services: Trusted home service technicians, cleaners, realtors, and
beyond
● Healthcare Access: Priority treatment with healthcare-related services for those with, or
without, insurance
● Food and Nutrition: Discounts on dining out and home Chefs, providing authentic, freshly-
prepared meals from different regions of India
● Personal Services: Reliable drivers, pet sitters, and other daily support
● Spiritual and Cultural Connection: Religious services and places of worship of all faiths,
Indian community associations, and resources serving cultural, regional, and social interests
Role Overview:
We’re looking for an experienced Wix Developer to enhance and refine, and do ongoing
maintenance of our existing website (desinet.org). This role involves regular site maintenance,
troubleshooting issues, implementing new features, and improving overall site design — not a full
redesign, but thoughtful updates that make the site more engaging, professional, and easy to
maintain.
Key Responsibilities:
● Enhance and optimize existing pages on Wix
● Develop sections to showcase new categories of resources, news, accept and process donations.
● Ensure mobile responsiveness and accessibility across platforms
● Implement SEO and analytics best practices, including doing web analytics and integrating with
Google analytics
● Support periodic updates and ongoing maintenance
Qualifications
● Proven experience designing and developing sites on Wix
● Strong sense of visual design and attention to detail
● Strong web development skills
● Experience with site optimization and enhancements
● Familiarity with SEO and web performance optimization as well as Analytics
● Excellent communication and reliability
Commitment
● Contract or part-time role (flexible hours)
● Remote work is ok, with regular check-ins with the desinet team
● Start date: As soon as possible
