Tucson Spellers is excited to announce our upcoming Community Fundraiser at Monterey Court! 💚

Join us for a fantastic evening of live music, delicious food, a silent auction, raffles, and an opportunity to support our incredible community of spellers and typers!

🎨 We Need Your Help! Donations Wanted!

We are collecting donations for our silent auction and raffles, and we would love your support! Gift baskets, gift cards, services, experiences, merchandise, and anything else you would like to contribute are all welcome.

We are especially excited to feature original artwork created by our very own spellers and typers in our silent auction! What better way to celebrate their creativity while supporting our community?

No donation is too small! Every contribution makes a difference. If you have something to donate, please reach out to us directly!

Reserve your table, invite your friends and family, and make an evening of it! Enjoy dinner, listen to amazing live music, bid on silent auction items, and try your luck in our raffles!

Monterey Court has generously offered to donate 10% of food purchases that evening directly to Tucson Spellers!

Funds raised will help us continue providing community events, educational opportunities, classes, workshops, advocacy, and financial assistance for nonspeaking, minimally speaking, and unreliably speaking individuals.

🎃🌵 Tucson Spellers’ Third Annual Halloween Themed Trivia Party!

Our Halloween party is back for its third year, and we cannot wait to spend another fun evening together! Join us for Halloween themed trivia, games, festive snacks, and plenty of time to connect with friends in the Tucson Spellers community.

📅 Date: Saturday, October 24
🕔 Time: 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
📍 Location: Niko’s house

Wear a costume if you would like, or come just as you are. This evening is all about having fun together, and everyone is welcome!

🌵 Building Bridges Spotlight: All of You 🌵

Our third Building Bridges spotlight is for everyone who showed up. You came ready to learn, ask questions, make connections, and think about how to put what you learned into practice.

To our nonspeaking, minimally speaking, and unreliably speaking friends, thank you for being there and making this day your own. Seeing you connect with friends, meet new people, share your perspectives, and enjoy the conference together meant so much to us. Building Bridges was created with you, and it would not have been the same without you.

To every family member, caregiver, practitioner, educator, supporter, and new friend who joined us, thank you for listening with open minds and bringing your own experiences into the conversations. We hope you left with new ideas, meaningful connections, and a few great memories.

We loved seeing this community come together, and we are already looking forward to doing it again. See you next year! 💚🌵

🌵 Building Bridges Spotlight: Our Presenters 🌵

Our second Building Bridges spotlight is dedicated to the incredible presenters who shared their knowledge, experiences, and voices with our community.

From experts in their fields, to parents and caregivers speaking from the heart, to professionals doing this work every day, and most importantly, to our amazing speller and typer presenters, every session brought something meaningful to the conference.

Our presenters educated us, challenged us to think differently, made us laugh, moved us, and reminded us why bringing together so many different perspectives matters. Some shared years of professional knowledge, while others shared deeply personal experiences that could only come from living them. Every perspective added something valuable.

We are incredibly grateful for the preparation, time, vulnerability, and heart each presenter brought to Building Bridges. You helped make this conference so much more than a day of presentations. You created opportunities for people to learn from one another, connect, and leave with new ideas and a deeper understanding.

To every person who stood in front of a room and shared a piece of your knowledge, experience, or story with us, thank you. You were an essential part of what made Building Bridges so special. 💚🌵

Our first Building Bridges Conference reflection belongs to the men who stole the show: our Speller Advisory Committee. 🌵

The time, thought, and effort they put into their presentation shone through. They shared their perspectives with honesty and confidence, then stayed on stage to answer questions in front of the entire conference. We know how much preparation and courage that took, and we could not be prouder of them.

Since the conference, we have received comments, emails, and messages from people who were moved by what the committee shared. Their words sparked conversations that have continued well beyond that day.

We are grateful to be led by this incredible group of individuals. Thank you for helping shape Tucson Spellers and for showing everyone at Building Bridges what is possible when spellers have the opportunity to lead. 💚
