Southern Arizona Nurse Honor Guard Our Mission: The SANHG exists to comfort loved ones & honor fallen nurses for their dedication & commitment in their compassionate service to others.

We will honor all without regard for religion, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation or gender identity.

Join us in celebrating Krista Mantica, RN, the 2026 recipient of the Diana Karina Robles Lizarraga Memorial Scholarship.

Krista has been caring for our community at Onvida Health since 2022 and is deeply connected to the nursing community, volunteering with the Yuma County Nurses Foundation and Arizona Nurses Association, serving on the board of Rio Colorado Chapter 7 and honoring lives as a member of the Southern Arizona Nurses Honor Guard. She is currently pursuing her Master of Science in Nursing and plans to continue into the Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program at Grand Canyon University.

This scholarship honors Diana, a beloved ICU nurse remembered for her compassion, mentorship and dedication to her fellow nurses. Established by her loved ones, it reflects her passion for education and is awarded each year on her birthday, April 20.

This year, thanks to the generosity of Dr. Shawn Hermeanu, the scholarship has been endowed, continuing her legacy by supporting future nurses for generations to come.
