The SGF 49ers are standing with Diego Ocampo of the Tucson Raiders as he courageously fights bone cancer.

Diego has been playing football since kindergarten, and the game has been a huge part of his life. Tomorrow, as we host the Tucson Raiders, we’re coming together as one football family to stand behind #8. ❤️

With Heavy Hearts 💛🖤

The 14U Tucson Raiders come to you with extremely heavy hearts.

This amazing young man has been part of our Raiders family since 8U. He did not return this season because earlier this year, his mom was diagnosed with cancer, and the commute from Rio Rico to Tucson every week plus the games as well it became too much for their family.

During Week 2 game, we received the heartbreaking news that he had undergone surgery to remove a tumor, and the results confirmed that he is now facing bone cancer.

This is a fight no child should ever have to face. But he is strong, he is loved, and he will always be a part of the Raiders family.

Our hearts, prayers, and support are with him and his family as they face this difficult journey.

Once a Raider, always a Raider. 💛🖤
