The lights are out, the show hall is empty and judges, vendors, and exhibitors alike are on their way home after a weekend in Tucson, AZ. As President and Show Manager for The Catalinas Cat Club, I want to take the time to thank each and every one of you that played a part in the success of our first show in over a decade. First of all, to.all of our hard working club members. We are few but mighty: Laurie Albert who served as both a first time entry clerk and vendor coordinator and so much more. To Priscilla McPhail who found us a fabulous venue for our show hall and keeping us on budget. To Bob & Pat Zenda for the fabulous rosettes (aside from all of their other contributions in many forms to the club.) To James McPhail for shuttling judges to and from the airport, show hall and dinner. To Joan Fradenburgh for finding great rosettes for the cat costume contest, clerking both days, and doing all the other little odd jobs that happen behind the scenes. To Wes & Chris from AZ Pro Sound for doing the PA system for us. To Terry Christopher & his daughter Addison for doing our cage service. And then to all the non club members who came in early or stayed late to help us set up and tear down. I want to give special thanks Robert & Leicy, 2-Che Persians. They were that "5th Element" that pushed us over the top. Sheri Poteet Smalts Shaffer & Whitney Perkins also came in early Friday to help. Jennifer and June at the gate and Sharon at the raffle table. And to Brian Tripp for helping Laurie keep her sanity with the entry clerk program and doing our judging schedule for us. And despite having trainees both days, we ended right on time both days. And this show couldn't have happened without our wonderful exhibitors, judges, clerks, and Master Clerk Michael Shelton. And to Mike Altschul for a great job promoting our show. Tucson was hungry for a show and we had a great turnout both days but especially Saturday. If I have forgotten anyone, it's not intentional but just because I'm tired. But we're ready to do it again next year!
