Startup Tucson's Liz Pocock and Megan Finck had a great time supporting the Hult Prize Western Regional Finals this past weekend at the University of Arizona, part of the world’s largest student startup competition.

Student teams from across the U.S. pitched bold ideas tackling global challenges aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, all competing for a chance to win $1M to launch their ventures.

Last week, founders stepped up to pitch at IdeaFunding 2026, not knowing that just hours later, they’d be called back to take the main-stage at the .

Six standout teams walked away as awardees, with CarbeniumTec and Intelligent Clinical Systems taking home the grand prizes of $10K each to fuel their next step!

And the crowd had their say too, you all voted for O2ART for the 2026 People’s Choice 👏
