A successful letter-writing event to demand the release of Venezuelan President Maduro and First Lady Cilia Flores!

It's been 9 months since the bombing of Caracas and the violent, illegal kidnapping of Venezuela's elected leaders. Since then, President Maduro and First Lady Flores have been held in a U.S. jail cell in Brooklyn, New York. Flores's health is rapidly declining. She has lost 25 lbs, 2 molars, suffers from recurring chest pains, and likely had a heart attack on July 29th.

Today, Tucsonans wrote letters to our representatives to demand they are freed, that Cilia gets the medical care she needs, and an end to ALL U.S. sanctions!

Letter-writing party on October 3rd at 11am at JoJo's restaurant, 77 W Washington St.

We are joining Anti-War Action Network's national day of action to protest the illegal kidnapping of President Maduro and First Lady Cilia Flores and demand they are freed!

Since their kidnapping, First Lady Cilia Flores is suffering from recurring chest pains, two lost molars, lost more than 25 pounds, and likely suffered a heart attack in July. Flores was in good health prior to her abduction and now she faces medical neglect in a U.S. jail cell.

PROTEST 200 DAYS OF WAR ON IRAN ON SEPTEMBER 19!

Trump claimed that his war on Iran would be over in "weeks" but we are nearing 200 days of war with no end in sight. Join anti-war organizations across Tucson to protest Trump's war on Iran on 9/19 at 10am!

We will be protesting outside Howmet Aerospace, a manufacturing company that builds parts for Lockheed Martin's F-35 - a fighter jet used in U.S. wars and attacks around the world. Join us to demand Howmet cut their contract with Lockheed Martin!
