To our community…

The closing of Tucson Pride after nearly 50 years marks a profound loss for our community. For generations, Tucson Pride served as a beacon of visibility, advocacy, celebration, and safety for the LGBTQIA+ community. The heartache felt today is shared across Tucson and Southern Arizona, as we reflect on the legacy, history, and countless lives impacted by this organization.

In this moment of loss, CARE reaffirms its unwavering commitment to the community. CARE will continue to work diligently to help create, support, and expand safe spaces, inclusive events, and meaningful resources for the LGBTQIA+ community throughout Tucson. Our mission remains rooted in connecting, accepting, reaching out , empowering all, and we are dedicated to ensuring that our community continues to feel seen, supported, and protected.

While we honor the past, we also look forward with purpose. Together as a community, we will continue building spaces where pride, safety, and belonging thrive.
