FREE DUMP DAY

Poinsett County residents will be allowed to dump free of charge in the Landfill dumpsters from 7:00 a.m.– 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 18, 2026. The Landfill is located at 704 East Street in Harrisburg.

The landfill dumpsters cannot accept hazardous waste. Materials that CANNOT be accepted are: oil, chemicals, asbestos and paint cans that have wet paint in them.

Tires and batteries will be accepted. Notify staff if bringing batteries so they can keep them separated.

In case of inclement weather on April 18th, the event will be rescheduled for April 25th.
