Join us for our third and final outdoor screening for this season on Fri 9th October of THE ASCENT, co-hosted by Tahoe Art Haus & Cinema and Bristlecone Film Collective.

Double amputee Mandy Horvath’s attempt to crawl to the top of Mount Kilimanjaro on her hands is only one half of this extraordinary true story which delves into the investigation surrounding the night she tragically lost her legs.

Directed by Edward Drake, Scott Veltri and Francis Cronin and winner of the SXSW Audience Award

Join us for the second screening in our Free Fall Outdoor Series. We are featuring the documentary “The Last Dive” by director Cody Sheehan.

Hosted by Tahoe Art Haus & Cinema & Bristlecone Film Collective and supported by Visit Truckee-Tahoe.

The Last Dive tells the story of Vietnam Vet and Hell’s Angel Terry Kennedy and his transformative relationship with W***y, a 22-foot oceanic manta Ray.

Support this community made film!
Bristlecone is happy to see short film CATCH, directed by Jared Callahan, coming to life. We helped staff this film with talented local crew, which was shot here in Truckee and supported by the Nevada County Arts & Culture Filmed in Nevada County grant.

They’re now seeking finishing funds to wrap it up and get it out in the world - Kickstarter link is in our bio!

They’re also doing a fundraising screening on Thursday 25th June at Nevada City Film Festival where you can meet the filmmakers in person and go behind the scenes of the making of the film.
