Troy OH Lions Club

Troy OH Lions Club is part of Lions Clubs International, the largest service club in the world. To j Eyesight Conservation has always been the focus of our work.

The Troy Lions Club was chartered by Lions Clubs International on March 25, 1942. Ever since the first year, Troy Lions have been purchasing eyeglasses and paying for eye exams for local needy individuals.

Troy Lions Club would like to thank everyone that supported our booth at the Strawberry Festival. Lions and Newton Leo members worked together on this fund-raising project to support our community service.

The Partners in Hope organization in Troy maintains a toiletry pantry for those in need. The Troy Lions designated May 13, 2026, as Toiletry Night and members brought in donations for the pantry.
Donated items included toilet paper, dish detergent, laundry detergent, laundry sheets, trash bags, toothpaste, body wash, Q-tips, dental floss, deodorant, body wash sponges, and more.

Troy Lions Club members Mel Ward, Dennis Waller, and Steve Kaplan performed a free vision screening for Edison State's preschool class. One child will be referred to an eye professional for additional examinations.

Jeff Feierstein (right) was honored by his Local Troy Lions Club with a Melvin Jones Fellowship. The award is named for the founder of Lions Clubs International and is the highest award a club may give to one of its members. Jeff is a long-time Lion, past club president, and very active in several Lion's charitable activities including Food Insecurity. The award was presented on behalf of the club by District Governor-elect Gary Likens.

Doug Beitzel (right) is presented a Lions Club "Honor Roll" plaque from District Governor-elect Gary Likens. Honor Roll is a state award given to 5 or less Lions a year reflecting long time service to Lions and other community organizations.

Myrna Yoder, Director of Troy's FISH, gave a very informative talk to the Troy Lions Club members about their charitable operations. The Lions donated the proceeds from their latest "Paint Night" to FISH. Club President Stephanie Burte looks on.

Troy Ohio Lions donations for M.A.S.H Pantries (Military and Service Heroes Pantries) of personal products and packets of seeds for the Veterans Honor Garden.

This was a service project held at the Lions District OH 5 convention last month.
