They’re all part of SMASH VII: GET SMASHED!

The SCA Magnificently Awesome Scavenger Hunt returns April 18–27 as an interkingdom, online event you can play from home. No fee, no membership required.

Take on 90 creative challenges spanning all corners of SCA life—fighting, archery, heraldry, cooking, bardic, research, service, and more. Compete solo or with a team of up to 10 (kids and pets welcome when appropriate).

Registration runs April 7–14, with full details posted in the event group.

At Gulf Wars, we celebrated Geirbruttr of the Outlands, who after just over a year on the field has already earned a name for himself in strength, skill, and hard-won glory. He now steps forward as squire to Sir Uchtred.

To mark this squiring, he takes on the red belt. It is not an award for past deeds, but the beginning of something greater. A commitment to mentorship, companionship, and continual growth.

This is not the culmination of his efforts, but the first step on a beautiful journey. Huzzah to the new squire!
