We can see an end to the courthouse renovations. They are installing new LED bulbs outside this week and just a few more lights and fixtures left inside to finish up. The museum will now be getting a facelift.....New windows will be installed, beginning this week. This will take a few weeks, so please be patient with this process. The ladies work very hard to keep our museum updated and we can't be more proud of them. Thank you to all of the volunteers.

As many of you know the courthouse is getting new a/c & heat. The old system decided that it wouldn't wait until the new one was ready. The old system went down on Monday evening and we closed at noon yesterday due to high temps in the courthouse. They are still working hard on getting the old system up and running, but the temps in the courthouse are already unbearable this morning therefore the courthouse will be closed today. If you had tags due at the end of June, we will work with you tomarrow to get you current tags, there will be no penalty and no tickets wrote in Greeley County only. Greeley County Girls 2013 State Cross Country Team is up for a Catch it Kansas Catchy as the best 1A team of the year. Get on a vote for them. You do have to vote for every category in order for your vote to count.

Ah, yes, it's here - the first official day of the Greeley County Fair. On the calendar for today: Livestock Weigh-In from 7-10 and Booth Judging at 8. At 9, all buildings will be open to the public, the fair kitchen will open (and stay open until 7 p.m.) and the 4-H and Open Class Food Show will take place. At 6 p.m. tonight, enjoy the Sheep and Goat Show or head over to the carnival, which will be open from 6-10 p.m. From 7-9 p.m., you can also play Bingo at the VFW Post Home on Broadway. Have a great Wednesday!
