With your help, our team headed to Henderson County, North Carolina, earlier this month. This rural area was hit hard by Hurricane Helene, with homes, roads, and bridges wiped out by landslides and flooding. More than 150 students are currently experiencing homelessness here due to the storm.
Working with local partners and volunteers, Toys for Tots launched a hurricane relief operation in Henderson County, providing over 10,000 toys, books, and games for local girls and boys who needed a glimmer of hope.
And because friends like you gave so generously, every child received toys, a book, and a game for their family! After experiencing so much loss, having something to call their own again made an immediate difference. Smiles returned to their faces as they happily accepted the thoughtful gifts you helped provide. Thank you for reminding those precious children that, no matter how difficult things may get, there is still joy in the world. And that is more than enough reason to be hopeful!
