Weekends can be complicated for veterans carrying invisible weight. 💛 If your loved one is struggling — whether they've said so or not — please know that asking for help is a sign of incredible courage. And so is the act of gently encouraging it. You don't have to have all the answers. Start with: "How are you really doing?" Resources and community are available through your local American Legion post and at BeTheOne.org. You are not in this alone.

Friday is here — and somewhere out there, a veteran is hoping someone thinks of them this weekend. ☀️ It costs nothing to send a message. It costs nothing to pick up the phone. But to the person on the other end, it can mean absolutely everything. Be that person today. Reach out. Check in. Let them know the Legion family never forgets about them. Happy Friday, Legion family. Make your Buddy Check before the day is done.

Incredible to think the Constitution was drafted without a ballpoint pen. An invention so simple, yet its absence highlights the profound foresight of the founding fathers in creating a framework for a world with digital data and the internet.

Post leaders — your members look to you, even when they don't say so. 🎖️ Think about who hasn't shown up lately. Who used to be a constant presence and has gone quiet? Who mentioned something in passing that deserved a follow-up? Today is the day to make that call. Not because it's required — because it's who we are as an organization built on mutual helpfulness. Lead from the front. Make your Buddy Check today.
