Today was the moment everyone sees – but it represents months of steady work behind the scenes. This season, 1,000 local children will wake up on Christmas morning with gifts, smiles, and a little extra magic.
This program works because SO many people contributed in different ways. Businesses and organizations hosted toy collection boxes, families donated toys and resources, volunteers gave their time collecting, sorting, bagging, and distributing, and partners helped ensure every donation was carefully tracked and placed into the hands of families who truly needed it. The result is a day like today – made possible through care, coordination, and a lot of quiet effort.
We want to extend special thanks to the partners who consistently go above and beyond year after year: Tri-County Community Resource Center, Chiefland Walmart, the Gilchrist and Levy County Sheriff’s Offices, Chiefland Fire Rescue, Southern Sons, Tri-County Florida Department of Health, Chiefland Latter Day Saints, and Ralph’s Burger House. Your leadership, countless volunteer hours, and continued support help keep this program strong and sustainable. Additionally, thank you to United Way of North Central Florida for bringing brand new children’s books to distribution, Aimee’s Acres for donating 20 fresh Christmas trees, and to Meridian for joining us today to share resources and giveaways.
If you gave your time, donated a toy, hosted a box, or helped in any way this season, thank you. And if being part of something like this speaks to your heart, we’d truly love to have you join us as a volunteer next year!
