Snack Pack Program of Clinton County The Clinton County Snack Pack Program provides weekend food for kids in need to take home from school. The program started in 2014 feeding 17 kids in 1 school.

It has grown to feeding 221 kids in 12 Clinton County Schools. There are 970 children in Clinton County that are food insecure. That is 12.2% of kids that don't always have enough food to eat. We believe that is unacceptable! This program started in December 2014 providing food to 17 kids each weekend in 1 school district. 12 years later the program has grown and is providing food to 221 kids in 1

2 different Clinton county school districts. Each weekend snack pack contains enough food for breakfast, lunch and dinner for Saturday and Sunday. School administrators decide which kids are in need of extra food. Each week bags are dropped off by volunteers and given to the students on Friday to take home over the weekend. This is a way for us to get the food directly into the children’s hands to help bridge the food gap over the weekend. Food that the kids will eat and can prepare themselves. It cost $20 per month or $180 to sponsor 1 child for the school year. To make a donation write your check to Clinton County Snack Packs and send to 904 Peach St., New Baden IL 62265. All donations go directly to purchasing food. The Clinton County Snack Pack Program is a 501(c)3 tax exempt # 84-3913598.

Thank you to the Maschoffs leadership experience externship program! Every year, the Maschhoffs provide scholarships to students that are part of the NJSA and team purebred youth organizations. Two of those students along with thirteenth students that are passionate about Ag/Livestock helped pack weekend food bags.
