Mobile food pantry for June 2026. Remember you can utilize any or all of the mobile pantries. Supplies are limited at the mobile pantries and you may need to arrive early; the pantries start at 10:00 am.

Thank you for helping Bright Futures Trenton prepare Grundy County students for the 2026-2027 school year.

Join me for the first “Teach Me Town Hall” of my campaign, happening at Eastside Park, West Shelter House, Saturday May 30th from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm in Trenton, Missouri.

This will be a space for open, honest conversations about the challenges facing our rural communities. I’ve learned that the people living these issues every day understand them best, and often have the most practical solutions.

These town halls are about listening, learning, and working together. Everyone is welcome, no matter your political affiliation. I’ve always believed in showing up for everyone, and that’s exactly what I intend to do.

We will also collect donation items for Bright Futures Trenton A list of needed items include: body wash, shampoo, conditioner, laundry detergent, packages of pencils, notebooks and backpacks.

I hope to see you there!

Our annual Gym Shoe Dash was a success this year. 65 pairs of shoes were donated by Rissler students, with TMS adding 11 pairs, Laredo-15 pairs, and Pleasant View-13 pairs. Cub Scout Pack 23 has partnered with us for several years to collect gently worn gym shoes at the end of the year. Students and their families have the opportunity to donate them for other students to use next school year. Ladies from Wesley United Methodist wash and sort them over the summer. We, then, offer them at the Grundy County Back to School Event in August to students who may need an extra pair of shoes for gym class. What great community engagement! Many thanks to Vanessa Meyer, Scout Mom, and Derek Hert, Bright Futures Back to School event Plan Team, for their help with this event!

Bright Futures Trenton was recently presented with a $1,000 donation from Pipestone Farms to the Food Pals program. The Fuel4Kids program, powered by Pipestone, has been a regular supporter of Food Pals. We appreciate this generous donation from the team at the Jayhawk farm, near Trenton.

PARENTS: It is time for the annual GYM SHOE DASH sponsored by Cub Scout Pack 23 and Bright Futures Trenton. This year’s event will take place on Wednesday, May 13, at 2:15 at Rissler Elementary. Please consider donating your child’s gently worn gym shoes at the end of the year. Watch for information and a permission form coming your way from your child’s teacher.
