Monday, September 21, Please join our local celebration of the United Nations’ International Day of Peace with Sunrise Song and Reflection, the Mayoral Proclamation and another Peace Pole Planting! All are welcome!

Schedule of events:

8am: Sunrise Ceremony at Clinch Park (near concessions and bathrooms)

9am: Mayoral Proclamation outside T.C. Governmental Center on Boardman (around peace-pole near utility drop boxes)

10am: Peace pole planting at Medalie Park (Logan’s Landing)

Hello all, Please join us, the Veterans for Peace, on Memorial Day at the OPEN SPACE for a remembrance of all those lost in war. Our service people, countless innocent civilians, veteran suicides.
Our display will be up from 9 a.m.-2 p.m.
Our event is at noon.
Taps at noon, followed by a few words from the President of Vets for Peace.
Then we will be reading the names of each Michigan service person who lost their lives in Iraq and Afghanistan.
It is not a long ceremony.
Please join us and bring your children.
Your presence will be felt.

Combat veteran Rory Fanning at our billboard outside Great Lakes naval base in northern Illinois.

Active duty service members are in a critical position to help lead the charge against fascism in this country, by refusing illegal and immoral orders!

Rory achieved conscientious objector status, a rarity in Special Operations, and walked across the United States for the Pat Tillman Foundation in 2008–2009, following two deployments to Afghanistan with the 2nd Army Ranger Battalion. He is available for interviews about our campaign.
