We held our last club shoot of the season on Saturday. The weather couldn't have been better. We had 14 shooters, several drove a long ways to shoot our course: Florence and Rhinelander. They brought some very good youth archers. Everyone had a great time.

The 3D targets will remain on the range until the end of October or early November. Your membership allows you to shoot the course at any time. If you need to renew or purchase a membership this can be done at Pintsch's hardware in Townsend.

The Crivitz Bowhunters club still has one more shoot, September 12 and 13. I always enjoy shooting there. Very friendly and a nice course.

The final 3D shoot of the year will be held this Saturday, August 8th. Come on out and enjoy shooting and socializing. Registration opens at 9 and lunch will be available.

The Rib Mountain Bowmen are hosting a Women's Archery Weekend on August 28-30.

We had a really great shoot on Saturday, July 11. 28 people attended the shoot, with 22 registered shooters. We had numerous shooters who were not members. Some paid the daily $10 shooting fee, while others saw the financial benefit of purchasing a $15 annual membership.

The top two shooters were non-members; Ken Rohloff (276), and Jim Teal (272)
The top traditional shooter was Niklas Brunow (181)

Buddy Schaut has been a generous supporter for several years and attended the shoot with his friend and member, Owen Morgan, Buddy is a very experienced archer but had never shot a 3D course before. He scored 262! Not bad for the first time. With a little more experience he will be someone to watch out for. Owen who shot with him, started out a little slow but ended up with a 258. This was the first time that Owen had shot the course since we expanded the range to 28 all 3D targets. Great shooting to Buddy and Owen.

We had many other good scores and everyone had a great time. I hope to see even more shooters at our next shoot on August 8th. Tell your friends!

We are hosting a 3D shoot at our range on July 11. Come on out and shoot the course or just socialize. There will be a bonfire and lunch is available to purchase. The June shoot was well attended and everyone had a great time.

My wife, Nina and I went out to the range this afternoon. She enjoyed walking on the trails in the forest while I shot the course. This is the big advantage to membership in our club, we can shoot the 3D field course when ever you want at cost. This is provided by your membership. The course is normally open from early May through the end of October or early November. If you don't have a membership but would like to shoot the course there is a money box where you can make a $5 donation, or stop at Pintch's in Townsend to buy a membership.

We held on first club shoot of the season on Saturday June 30th. 27 people attended the shoot and everyone had a great time. Gary Wagner did an outstanding job of cooking brats and burgers.

A group of archers from the Rib Mountain Bowmen in Wausau shoot the course as did 2 archers from the Peshtigo club.

The highest score for compound shooters was a tie between Bob Habeck and Ryan Seefeldt with 266 out of a possible 280! Great shooting Bob and Ryan.

The highest traditional shooter score was 213 by Jack Barber, number 2 was long time member Gus Legler with a 207.

We had 2 women shooter, both traditional. Jennifer Keller posted a score of 141.

Our next shoot is July 11th. Please come out and join us for a fun time!
