Feeling conflicted? Exchange your self-righteousness for His righteousness. We sometimes think that this life should be easy. But the Christian life is far from easy. When things go wrong and you think that you deserve better, stop and think about what Jesus went through. In light of His sufferings, under the hardest of times we still deserve worse, not better. What we accumulate on earth has no value in purchasing eternal life. We should evaluate all that happens from an eternal perspective. “How do you know what your life will be like tomorrow? Your life is like the morning fog—it’s here a little while, then it’s gone..”
True wisdom is found in God, and true happiness comes from knowing Him and His plan for your life. Response to Paris Attack: 1) “And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell” Matthew 10:28. We do not have to fear anyone at any time. We have the One who has defeated death, hell and the grave living on the inside of us. “Fear Not!”
Rather than coming through cold stone tablets, God’s revelation now comes through a person’s life. That person is Jesus Christ. If your faith is based solely on “signs and wonders” your faith is weak. Rather base your faith solely on the Word of God and you will grow strong in the power of His might. When we share the gospel with others our love must be like Jesus’, willingly giving up our own comfort and security so that others might join us in receiving God’s love. To put off the choice is to choose not to trust Christ. Indecision is a fatal decision. To receive eternal life is to join in God’s life, which by it’s nature is eternal. Thus, eternal life begins at the moment of spiritual
rebirth. We need to be prepared to share this gospel at any time and in any place. Jesus crossed all barriers to share the gospel and we need to do no less. There is nothing in the material realm that will satisfy you spiritual thirst like Jesus. Be courageous! Speak up for Christ! FROM THE PEW TO THE PAVEMENT
