TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - The food, dancing, art and other aspects of Indian culture come to life this weekend in Topeka.

The India Mela celebrates its fourth year at Evergy Plaza. Vaishali Patel, Chandni Bhakta and Dylan Tyler visited Eye on NE Kansas to share information about it.

The trio said the festival will highlight many aspects of the culture of India. They said vendors will offer traditional food representing a variety of regions. Plus, attendees will enjoy live music, a balloon artist, henna art, dancing and more.

There is no charge to enjoy the festival’s entertainment, but food vendors and other vendors will charge for their items.

India Mela runs 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 8 at Evergy Plaza in downtown Topeka.
