Pat Yancey joins Compassion Strategies as Director of Donor Cultivation and Relations 🎉

Pat Yancey has joined Compassion Strategies as a volunteer to help cultivate relationships with donors and connect their generosity with efforts to help neighbors move from homelessness toward lasting stability. 🤝

Yancey brings more than 30 years of leadership experience in social services, healthcare, nonprofit organizations, and ministry. He will lead donor engagement through personal visits, tours, appreciation, and updates on community impact. 💛

“Pat understands that relationships are at the heart of meaningful change,” said Barry Feaker, Founder and CEO.

Compassion Strategies operates the Moving Ahead Partnership (MAP) at the Compassion Impact Center and coordinates GRIT Navigators. Together, these programs connect neighbors with essential services and ongoing support toward housing. 🏠

Compassion Strategies is a Topeka nonprofit dedicated to helping people experiencing chronic homelessness and other life challenges move toward stability, dignity, and hope.

Through our Compassion Impact Center, we're bringing essential services together in one place, including food, showers, clothing, healthcare connections, pet care, and assistance navigating community resources.

But we're doing more than meeting immediate needs. We're building relationships, removing barriers, and helping people take meaningful steps toward a better future. Because compassion isn't just about meeting today's needs. It's about changing tomorrow's story.

Our goal is simple: Meet people where they are, walk alongside them, and help them move from surviving to thriving.

Stacey has experienced homelessness for five years. Today, he gives back by volunteering at MAP and the Compassion Impact Center every Tuesday and Thursday! 💙🙌

In this interview, Stacey shares his story, the realities of homelessness, and what it can feel like to get caught in the cycle. He also shares how MAP has been one of the greatest blessings in his life—and in the lives of so many others. 🌟

Change can begin when someone learns about MAP and the resources available, makes a plan, and believes life can be different! 🌱✨

MAP volunteers and partner agencies will meet you where you are with compassion, encouragement, and support. The past does not have to define your future. Sometimes, all it takes is an opportunity and someone who cares. 🤝❤️
