Our Land, Our Choice Our Land, Our Choice is an informal assembly of concerned Toombs County citizens in opposition to th etc.

The Toombs County Commissioners have appointed a committee to draft a zoning and approved/unapproved land use document for the unincorporated areas of Toombs County, GA. This document and the committee claim to be addressing issues such as dumping of toxic waste or the opening of n**e bars within the county. However, their current proposed draft not only addresses these issues but also dictates th

e size of citizens' homes and yards, the need to purchase permits to do nearly anything on your property, the ability to own pets, whether or not the citizen can have a home based business, etc. Several citizens noticed the blatant power grab by our County Commissioners and have began to assemble this group to provide opposition against zoning the county and give voice to all the other citizens that wish to use their own property how they want. Our goal is to stop the Commissioners from zoning our county. Please feel free to join or cause and check back here for updates on our progress.
