By chance is there a company with a forklift out there that would br ocassionally be willing to assist us in unloading pallets from a flat bed?

The first time we would need it would be next week on Thursday 5/21 around 7pm.

This would most likely be like a 2-4 time a year thing I'm guessing. Even if they're only able to commit to next week it would be massively appreciated!

I said I was taking a break but I saw notifications with questions. I'm going to include the link to our Amazon Wishlist which has pet food on it. I am also going to include the link to cat food at Tractor Supply. From what I have found, it seems to be the most economical option as far as quantity and price. We will accept pretty much any dog or cat food though. There are two brands that I do not automatically just hand out, I give people the option of if they are comfortable taking it. Those brands are Gravy Train and Ole Roy. If you would like to order from a store of your choice you can always just ship directly to the pantry.

Good morning, friends.

I first want to thank everyone for all of the support over the stupid bs I have had to deal with over the last few weeks. I am moving ahead with filing a police report about the stolen cash box and my friend at TPD is handling that today.

I have put a lot of thought into the pantry's future over the last couple weeks. If anyone saw the video my mom posted yesterday, you know I was done. I texted her and my husband and said it's time. I planned out in my head what other food pantries I was going to donate all of our food and money to and be done. But both of them ultimately talked me out of it because they know that I am not in a good headspace and would eventually regret walking away completely.

That being said, there is a massive massive change coming to how the pantry operates. We will continue operating as is through the month of June. In July we will be temporarily closing for the month. We need time to re organize and prepare for the new system. I am not sharing any of those details currently as they are not fully ironed out. When the time is right I will update you all.

As far as donations, we desperately need pet food. We only have a small amount of dog food and no cat food. Unfortunately I do not know when I can go pick up more pet food from the food bank. They do not operate the same as the human food bank in town. They only do distributions when they get deliveries themselves, and that is usually several months apart.

I am going to be taking a break from checking this page and answering messages for about a week or so. I just need some time. We are open today from 1-5 and then again May 19th, 20th, 22nd all 1-5pm.

*edit again* I have to remove the video because someone who is in the video and not even involved in the situation and just happened to be there is threating to contact an attorney if I don't remove their faces.

*edit* I messaged a friend who is on TPD about filing a police report. I personally don't think it is worth mine or TPD's time over roughly $15. Charges are not even being pressed over the stolen trailer that was recovered in front of the person's home. But I am waiting to hear back her opinion.

This is the thieves. They made it so ungodly obvious what they were doing. I have another clip of him walking outside with a plastic bag bunched up in his hand that is very square shaped. This clip started at 1:17pm. When I switched to the outdoor cameras, at 1:26 I hear my volunteer clearly say "Did you see the cash box when you came in?" to someone. While yes there was another family inside the pantry during this time, no one besides this family was at the counter. Their file has permantley banned on it. I sent them a text informing them of this but I assume it's an inaccurate number as I got a message that said failed to send. I'm not releasing any names. But I will post a screenshot with a better view of the man's face in the comments.

What pi**es me off most is that there's a child involved. They are being punished for the actions of the adults caring for them. And also the fact that 99% of the money that gets put into that box is from other shoppers. Other families who don't have the money to go buy everything they need. But they donate what they can to help keep up operating. Makes me sick.

Hey all, we have had yet another as***le situation. Someone stole the cash donation box we keep on the counter. Thankfully there wasn't too much money in it. I'm fairly certain I figured out who it is. Unfortunately, if it was them, I can't 100% prove it because it looks like they purposely shifted an item that was sitting on top of the shelf and blocked the camera. So now I get to add ever more cameras for security.

From now on, ONE adult from each family is allowed inside the pantry at a time. We will be refusing to allow more than one adult in at a time. The exception being the case workers who bring their clients.

If anyone causes problems or gives attitude to my volunteers they have full authority to permantley ban you on the spot.

If I can figure out video proof I will be posting it for everyone to see and shame the person who stole the box. Otherwise I will not be giving this any more time and energy.

WE GOT HER BACK! 🎉🥳

Safely being stored at my home for now. I have to get a new hitch lock, as well as the biggest most heavy duty chain I can find to secure her to the light pole where I was parking her at the shop. I'm also going to be going her a neon pink make over. Be real easy to track then, lol.

All thanks goes to Officer Curtis at Toledo Police Department. He and his team have been searching cameras in the area to track the trailer down. Special thank you to Officer Dungjen (aka sad snacks) for even bringing this to Offier Curtis' attention and asking him to look into the theft. You can thank her by selling out her snack stand this weekend.

Also for transparency, I did already purchase another trailer over the weekend with donated funds. As of right now I plan on keeping it because having two trailers will be really helpful when I go to the pet food bank in Clevland.

Okay i know I said the last update was the last update about the stolen trailer but there have been some developments... I'm going to be wording this for people who may not be familiar with what's happening as I am sharing this to some other groups.

The trailer we use to pick up food bank orders for our pantry was stolen on April 21st around 11:19pm. If anyone living on Wyman or heading East on Airport has cameras that may have recorded footage of the trailer being hauled down the road, I would super appreciate if you sent me the footage.

It is a 5x8 black all metal trailer with a metal grated bottom. There was no plate on it. The most defining characteristic about it is the right rail light on it was out.

Good morning friends! This is basically going to be the final update on the trailer situation.

I've accepted that getting my trailer back or any type of justice is a lost cause. It sucks. I hope the person who stole it stubs their toe every single day. But we're moving on.

I've had two very generous monetary donations since yesterday. I will be getting a new trailer as well as have plenty of left over to purchase food for the pantry. I also plan to get us a new ramp for the entrance as ours is beginning to fall apart.

I also have had some items donated that I will be posting as an auction or sale, to raise money for the pantry. The first item going up for auction will be two tickets to Rock Orchestra by Candelight that is on April 30th at the Stranahan. I will be posting that later this evening.
