We want to help nonprofit organizations in Toledo expand their capacity so they can make a bigger impact in their neighborhood. 🔊 The Toledo Neighborhood Capacity Building Institute will cover topics like:

🔹 Leadership & Governance: Building a strong board and leadership team, conducting effective meetings, and strategic planning.

🔹Financial Management: Financial readiness, creating a policy, budgeting, grant writing, fundraising, and more.

The City of Toledo Department of Parks and Recreation is celebrating Disability Pride Month in July with the launch of the Explore Without Limits Pass, a free digital pass designed to help residents discover accessible parks, splash pads, playgrounds and adaptive recreation opportunities across the City. Check it out!

Creating a playground where everyone can play doesn't always require big changes. Sometimes, it's the small design details that make the biggest difference. 💚

📸 The photo below shows the inclusive merry-go-round at Inez Nash Park. Notice the wide opening and designated space that allows a wheelchair user to roll directly onto the platform, so they can enjoy the ride alongside everyone else.

Safety reminders from the City of Toledo heading into the Fourth of July weekend!

There is a good chance our pools will be busy this weekend as people celebrate the holiday outdoors. Now is the perfect time to think about swim lessons!

We offer four-week lessons, held twice a week, for beginner, intermediate, and advanced swimmers ages 3–15. Lessons begin Monday, July 6, and run through the end of the month.

The parade lineup at 12 PM at Uptown Green. The parade steps off at 1 PM, traveling down Adams Street to Summit Street before ending at Promenade Park.
