This extreme cold can lead to frostbite and hypothermia in exposed skin within just 30 minutes. Expected low temperatures in the area will range from 5 above to 12 below zero, and conditions are expected to remain dangerously cold through Wednesday night. It's important to dress in layers, keep pets indoors, and check on vulnerable individuals during this severe weather.
