Dear Parents and Players,
As we get ready for tryouts, we want to share a few important reminders and expectations to ensure the process goes smoothly for everyone.
✅ Tryout Registration:
Pre-registration is available at www.urbanvolley419.org/page/show/8281184-2025-tryouts. If you do not pre-register — no worries! — we will have you fill out a simple waiver and player information sheet on the day of tryouts (both forms will be provided at check-in).
✅ Tryout Fee & OVR Membership:
You must have a current OVR membership or bring your OVR Junior Tryout Membership Card with you to participate. If you did not play this past season, you can purchase a Tryout Membership for $10 on www.ovr.org — this is separate from our tryout fee.
The tryout fee is $20, paid the day of tryouts.
✅ What to Wear & When to Arrive:
Wear something that make you stand out! Bring all of your equipment. Arrive at least 30 minutes early to complete check-in and warm up.
✅ If You Have a Conflict:
If you are unable to attend the tryout time for your age group, please reach out to us as soon as possible. We will arrange for your athlete to try out with another age group if needed. If you need to arrive late or leave early due to another commitment, we will accommodate you — just let us know ahead of time.
✅ Team Fees & What’s Included:
UrbanVolley 419’s all-inclusive fees for the 2026 season will be $975/player, covering 7-8 tournament dates. When choosing a club, we encourage you to look closely at what is included in the fees you pay:
Are there extra costs for uniforms, coaching, practices, or Regionals?
How many tournaments are scheduled?
Will practices be regular and well-structured?
Accepting an offer from any club is a binding decision for the entire year. Please take the time to find the best fit for your athlete and family.
✅ Important: Signing Period Rules:
If your player receives an offer from any club during the first weekend, they have until Tuesday, July 15 at 6:00pm to accept or decline that offer — no club, director, or coach can tell you otherwise. If you get an offer from your top-choice club, feel free to accept it, but do not feel pressured to accept an offer immediately out of fear you will lose it.
If you have any questions about tryouts, procedures, or need help understanding how offers and signing periods work, please reach out. We are always happy to help!
