β οΈFlash Warning!β οΈ
Today was the flower release for Silahβs Armor. πΉπ€ποΈ
To honor our son, Silah, we released flowers into the water. ππΉ One by one, we watched them drift away with the current. To many people, it may just look like flowers floating on the waterβ¦ but to us, it means so much more. ππ€
Each flower carries love, grief, memories, and the weight of a loss that never truly leaves a parentβs heart. πΉπ It represents the life we dreamed of, the moments we never got, and the child who will forever be part of our family. πΌπ½ποΈπ«
Releasing these flowers is symbolic for us. Itβs a moment to pause, breathe, and acknowledge the pain while also reminding ourselves that healing is possible. πΏπ€ Not the kind of healing that makes the grief disappearβbut the kind that teaches you how to keep living, loving, and moving forward while carrying your child with you every single day. πβ‘οΈβ€οΈ
Silahβs life matters. His name matters. His story matters. πποΈ And because of him, Silahβs Armor existsβto bring awareness, compassion, and change for parents who experience unimaginable loss and the medical care that surrounds it. π€β¨
This is something we will continue to do every year in Silahβs honor. πΉποΈ And next year, anyone is welcome to join us. It doesnβt matter where youβre fromβyou can release a flower wherever you are and stand with us in remembering the babies who should still be here. ππΉπ€
Forever loved. Forever remembered. Forever our son. ποΈπΌπ½πβ¨
