🎣 Homecoming Sponsor Spotlight: Back Cast Vintage

We’re lucky to have local businesses that bring something a little different to our community, and Back Cast Vintage is one of them.

Back Cast Vintage is a locally owned shop specializing in vintage and antique fly-fishing rods, reels, gear and collectibles. Their collection is a pretty incredible mix of craftsmanship, history and good old-fashioned fishing culture.

And if you know anything about Northern Colorado, you know that a love of the river runs pretty deep around here.

🎪🌶️ THIS IS HOW WE KICK OFF HOMECOMING.

Homecoming is usually thought of as football, Friday night lights, and school spirit.

But in a small town, it can be something all that and more.

It’s a chance for the whole community to come together and celebrate our students and the place we call home.

That’s why we’re kicking off homecoming week with the first annual Kickoff Cook Off on Saturday, September 19 from 11 AM–2 PM on Timnath Main Street.

The students of Timnath Middle-High School are putting on a full street carnival and chili competition for the community, featuring:

🌶️ Student-led chili competition
🎶 Live music and entertainment
🚚 Food trucks
🎨 Face painting
🎪 Carnival games
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Family-friendly fun

Come taste the chili, vote for your favorite team, play some games, listen to music, grab lunch, and spend a Saturday with your neighbors.

Chili tastings are $1 each, sold in packs of 10. Cash or Venmo accepted. All tasting proceeds benefit Timnath Middle-High School.

Whether you’ve lived in Timnath for decades or just moved here, you’re part of this community.

This year, we’re kicking off a new Timnath tradition: the first annual Kickoff Cook Off! 🌶️🎶

Because whether you’ve called Timnath home for decades or just unpacked your boxes last week, homecoming is about celebrating the place we all get to call home.

Come kick off the season with:

🌶️ A Chili Cook Off featuring teams and organizations from Timnath Middle-High School
🎶 Live music & entertainment
🚚 Food trucks
🎪 Carnival games & face painting
👋 And plenty of chances to see your neighbors, meet some new ones, and cheer on the people who make Timnath, Timnath.

We've got a packed weekend here on Main Street in Timnath! First Friday at The Hidden Stem on Friday, August 7th from 3-7pm and The Timnath Farmers Market and Second Sunday on Sunday! See vendor list for the Farmers Market below.

There is also a school supply drive hosted by Timnath Presbyterian Church! See their page for more details.

What we love most about Timnath Main Street is that it isn’t polished or manufactured.

It’s lived in.
It’s evolving.
It’s full of character.

More like your grandma’s quilt than something picture-perfect.

Being accepted into the Colorado Main Street Program helps us protect and strengthen that identity as our town continues to grow.

This isn’t about turning downtown into somewhere generic.
It’s about creating a Main Street that feels unmistakably Timnath.

More gathering places.
More local businesses.
More community traditions.
More memorable moments.

And now we need more people willing to help build it.

Whether you love planning events, decorating spaces, supporting local businesses, organizing volunteers, fundraising, marketing, or simply caring deeply about this community, there’s a place for you here.

The future of Timnath Main will not be built by one board.
