Friends of the Timmonsville Public Library Presents
The 2nd Annual African American Educator Appreciation Awards
Baker Memorial Public Library
298 W Smith St, Timmonsville, SC 29161
The Friends of the Timmonsville Public Library is proud to have coordinated and sponsored the 2nd Annual African American Educator Awards at the Florence County level. The Friends of the Timmonsville Public Library is a board of dedicated members whose purpose is to support quality library service in the community through fundraising, volunteerism, and serving as advocates for the library.
Held on Saturday, March 2nd, 2024 our host for the program was Mrs. Pam "The Voice" Little-McDaniel and our keynote speaker was Mrs. Elizabeth Rhue, VP of Global Environmental, Sustainability, & Technical Services at Sonoco.
This program is crafted to recognize the invaluable contributions of African American educators who have significantly impacted the lives and futures of students within the Florence County area. These devoted and experienced educators consistently dedicate themselves to the advancement and nurturing of our students. Furthermore, this initiative seeks to honor educators who not only impart knowledge but also serve as mentors and role models, particularly for students of color. These mentors cultivate students' talents, and academic ambitions, and guide aspiring educators through the intricacies of classroom instruction.
We would like to thank our community members, partners, and sponsors as well as program participants for your help in making this program a success!
