We are a global group of friends partnering with local changemakers for transformation in East Africa. We come alongside these leaders by providing respectful, practical help through financial support and collaborative project development. Our goal is to create long-term change that builds capacity and leads to healthy outcomes.

Now she owns a business. Violet too. Both building local economies in Rwanda and Tanzania. Not because of outside help, but because of each other.

This is Vicoba Plus: a locally-led savings and enterprise model spreading across East Africa, training communities to dream big and start with what they have. African Road partners with local leaders, The Changemakers, to make it happen.

Looking back at last week’s African Road Fundraising Gala!

We ate, laughed and learned about building real community. We also heard firsthand expertise from the Changemakers about the progress being made in East Africa from the partnership.

Matching Funds Opportunity Extended!

When we raise and reach $150,000 together, a matching funds challenge of $50,000 will be released to reach the $200,000 goal.

African Road is at $101,100 raised and now we're looking to raise the additional $48,900 to reach our goal. Together, we can do it.

Thanks to an outpouring of generosity from the African Road Gala guests, we’re well on our way to reaching the fundraising goal.

When we raise and reach $150,000 together, a matching funds challenge of $50,000 will be released to reach the $200,000 goal.

An amazing $99,190 has already been given. Now there is just over $50,000 remaining to raise to release the match and meet the goal.

Every contribution—no matter the size—brings us one step closer to our goal and extends the reach of the work we do together.
