Our partnership with the Українська академія медіації / Ukrainian Academy of Mediation has been tremendously enriching. We were honored to offer a "Honing Your Skills" workshop series in March and April to veterans newly trained in mediation, (41 Ukrainian Veterans and community members attended!) and we will be hosting a 90 minute seminar as part of their International Forum on Mediation and Law on June 11th, entitled "After the Frontline: Veterans’ Stories in Mediation". All are welcome to join us as we moderate a panel discussion between some of our most experienced Veterans Mediation members and veterans/mediators from the United Kingdom, and Ukraine. Nonprofit work isn't easy, and there are times when every Nonprofit professional questions whether they truly make a difference - and then a ray of sunshine breaks through. Today, my ray of sunshine came in the form of this adorable, handmade sculpture, gifted to me by one of our Morning Coffee regulars. This is now my home office companion, for the times when I don't get to interact with my people regularly, this little guy will remind me that HFS does make a difference.
