REMINDER THIS FRIDAY JUNE 28 9am - noon is the fishing day and BBQ hosted by Walleye Unlimited! Meet at the dock at the ponds. Your kiddos wont want to miss this! Free pole, tackle and lunch will be provided! All kids ages 5-12 are welcome and must be accompanied by a parent/chaperone. If you choose to send your child unattended please know we or W. U. WILL NOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE! If you’d like to attend and haven’t already commented prior please let us know how many kids you will be bringing! Walleye Unlimited reached out to us asking if they could host a FISHING DAY for our community!! 🎣 This incredible organization educates as well as shows kids how to enjoy fishing!

🐟 Mark your calendars for June 28th, 9am-noon at the Three Forks ponds dock for a fun morning of fishing and lunch with this great group of volunteers! Poles and tackle will be provided for everyone by Walleye Unlimted as well as education and fishing guidance. Please comment below if you have a child(ren) interested in attending so I can give them a close approximate number.

🌭 🍔 BBQ lunch of hamburgers and hot dogs will be provided!

🐠 THIS EVENT IS NOT AFFILIATED WITH TF SUMMER REC! We will NOT provide any supervision, that is solely parent/guardians responsibility! We are simply coordinating with Walleye Unlimited to bring a popular youth tradition to our community. This event is open to all kids ages 5-12. If you choose to send your children without supervision, we or Walleye Unlimited will not be held accountable for them.

We hope to fill the pond with kids, laughter, and lots of fun and fish!! 🐟 🐠

We would like to sincerely thank EVERYONE who came out to support Summer Rec last night!! We were humbled by the overwhelming generosity of our community! We served over 200 meals and sold out! 🍔🌭 We had a fun evening and appreciate all of the kind words and smiles that passed through! The evening was a HUGE success because of YOU!!

Again THANK YOU goes out to Last Best Barbecue, LLC for volunteering your time to cook, to Daniels Gourmet Meats and Sausages for donating the burgers and to Teasers for your generous donation that covered all of our expenses and then some!!

Another successful fishing day in the books thanks to Vern and his crew with Walleye Unlimited!!! 🎣 Every child went home with a brand new fishing pole, and drawstring bag filled with a water bottle, frisbee, tackle and other goodies!! Many fish were caught, smiles made and burgers and hot dogs eaten!! If you have pics you’d like to share please do! Thank you to the parent/grandparent volunteers!! 🐠 🐟 FISHING DAY CHANGE OF DATE!! 🐟🐠

The date is now JUNE 15, 9am-noon at the TF ponds.

Walleye Unlimited will provide, poles, instruction, snack and a drink. This is open to all kids ages 5-12.

IMPORTANT MESSAGE FOR ALL PARENTAL/CAREGIVERS:
TF Summer Rec Board has AREANFES this outing for the children however WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE for them. There will be some staff member from W.U. that are hosting the fishing day. With this in mind we are looking for some parent volunteers that morning to help them out.

THE FISHING DAY ENDS AT NOON. PLEASE DO NOT BE KATE PICKING UP YOUR CHILD(REN) as it will not be supervised once they leave. The Walleye Unlimted staff are kind enough to offer the very popular program free of charge, so please respect their time when it is over. While we have decided to go a different direction this year with our program, we know our Fishing Day has been the most popular with the kids since this was first offered. I reached out to our contact with Walleye Unlimited who coordinates the fun fishing day for the kids. We will be hosting FREE FISHING DAY June 12 at the Three Forks Ponds. This is open to kids ages 6-11 who have previously attended our summer rec program. Please comment below if your child(den) will be joining us for an educational day of fun fishing!! 🎣 Exact time will be posted soon, it will be approximately from 9am-noon.

EXCITING ANNOUNCEMENT!!!!!!

We are excited to announce that the Three Forks Youth Task Force is growing and changing with the changing needs of our community. With the creation of the Summer Enrichment program through the school the needs of the community have changed. This program is filling a need our Summer Rec Program filled previously. Our desire is not to compete with this program and to encourage families to take advantage of the free program. With their grants and funding they have created a fantastic program filled with field trips and fun. That being said we now feel the need to shift our priorities. We are still working out all the details but our hope is to create a program where Kids and Community Programs in need can apply and have access to funds to help those who otherwise couldn’t to participate in activities that encourage community and growth.

Our redefined mission statement:
“ To build a Community where people especially the young are encouraged to engage in opportunities that empower them to develop to their fullest potential in mind, body and spirit.”
We are developing an application process where funds can be applied for. Through the Three Forks Youth Task Force Board of Directors applications will be reviewed and “Enrichment Grants” will be given throughout the year. We are hoping that if a kid can’t sign up for a sport because funds are an issue they can apply for funds and we can help those in need. We also hope to help out those programs in need of a little boost to make their programs better. Please bear with us and be patient as we work through all the details of this new program. We wanted to inform the community now so if parents are looking ahead to summer care for their kids they have all the information they need. Please monitor the School website for more details at tfschools.com for the Summer Enrichment Program. As we finalize our new program we will provide further details.
We will still be doing some fun summer activities which will include a Fishing Day, Fun at the Park Day, and we are trying to get some swimming lessons organized.

On behalf of my board and I, we would like to THANK EVERYONE that was a part of another fun and successful bingo fundraiser! From those who donated food, auction and raffle items, to the Manhattan American Legion, and to each of you that bought tickets to our sold out event! I say it all the time and I will always continue to say it, we are incredibly blessed to be a part of a community that supports our program every year!!!
