This Rescue done in partnership with Healing Heart Rehab

This sweet soul was recently found abandoned at Lake Mexia, suffering from a severe leg injury left dangling and untreated for what looks like far too long. Despite the injury he has endured, the moment we approached, he was completely ready to accept help and let us keep him safe.

​His road to healing starts immediately. Given the extent of the injury, he will likely require a full amputation, alongside essential vaccines, neuter surgery, and extensive veterinary care. Once cleared by the medical team, he is coming home to Project Nuka for hands-on rehabilitation, recovery, and all the unconditional love he has always deserved.

​We need your help to fund his emergency surgery and medical care so we can give him a fresh start.

Please help this boy! Abandoned with a bad injured leg or shoulder! We posted earlier regarding this boy. We are partnering with a newer rescue who thankfully took him in. Please consider donating for his vet care. We are paying for his vetting cost to help get this boy his much needed vetting. He will be receiving xrays to see how the leg is damaged. He will need vaccines, heartworm test, and neutered as well! He is extremely sweet! Video in comments! We are glad to see him putting some weight on his leg. Our clear the shelter spotlight at our rescue is Rocky! Rocky would be a good ranch dog as long as there are no chickens! He is a lab/german shepherd mix who deserves a place to call home. A home where he is not tied up in a back yard being forgotten about because that was his life before coming to us. He is around 5-6 years old and already fully vetted! Located in Thornton, Tx! Dolly update! This is such a great dog. Housebroken, rides in a car well, dog/cat friendly, and more. It is heartbreaking to think a person thought so low of her they dumped her to die.
