These schools are changing lives 🥹✨

For more than a century, Presbyterian Education Board schools have been creating opportunities for students across Pakistan through quality education, boarding programs, leadership development, and community impact.

From educating more than 39,000 girls over the years at a single campus to empowering students to teach literacy in their own villages, PEB’s story is about more than classrooms, it’s about transformation.

Every student represents a future leader, teacher, parent, and changemaker! 🌍

This summer, work is underway to strengthen security at several PEB schools through the construction of new boundary walls 🚧 🌟

These walls are more than just structures, they help create safer learning environments where students can focus on their education with confidence!

We’re especially exited to share progress from Sargodha, where ground has officially been broken on a new boundary wall project. Our hope is to have these projects completed before students return in the fall!

Thanks to YOU, our generous community and friends, PEB campuses are making permanent safety upgrades that will serve our campuses for years to come! 💫

For many girls in Pakistan, access to education is deeply connected to access to safety.

That’s why PEB provides multiple boarding houses for girls, spaces where students can not only continue their education, but live in an environment where they are cared for, protected, and encouraged to thrive.

These homes are filled with laughter, friendship, mentorship, and the kind of stability every young girl deserves.

When girls are given both safety and opportunity, futures begin to change!

Eleanor’s “why” is rooted in the students 🥹

After four years with Friends of PEB and a firsthand visit to Pakistan, what continues to stay with her most is the resilience, hope, and determination she witnessed inside PEB classrooms every day.

“Seeing firsthand how PEB schools create both safety and opportunity for students who otherwise would not have access is something I wholeheartedly believe in.”

Pakistan accounts for nearly 3% of that number 😭

There’s something so beautiful about realizing that girlhood sounds the same everywhere 🤍

The singing, the laughter, the talking over each other, the little moments of chaos after a school field trip… even from across the world, these girls are just girls being girls 🥲✨

This bus ride home from a PEB school trip in Pakistan felt like such a simple but powerful reminder that joy, friendship, and childhood connect us all.

Education doesn’t just change futures, it creates moments like these🤍

Debbie Hough’s “why” is rooted in a lifelong commitment to education and faith, and a deep belief in the transformative power of learning!

Her connection to Friends of PEB grew naturally out of that calling, becoming a long-term commitment to supporting students and educators in Pakistan.

“I do believe that good education is the key to a better world and better lives.”

She currently serves on our Donor Relations Committee but has held positions on our board. We’re so grateful for her continued dedication to this work and the community it represents 🥰
