🎊MY TEAM MONDAYS

It's only fitting that we begin this new edition on the day that "My Team" had his final walk through from the halls of Thomson High School in Thomson, Ga. Xavier is the "light and friend" you never knew you needed. "My Team" will be a familiar phrase in schools across the country, so that all individuals with disabilities will feel apart of their team at school.

Heyyyy!!!! I know it's been too long and after an AMAZING non-profit Summit Conference hosted by Community Foundation for the CSRA it has brought so much light and attention to the mission I'm set out to do. Just being in the room with like minded peers, networking and a few of, "oh yeah we're definitely going to be friends". I know the work im doing behind the scenes is going to be an amazing impact for our community and surrounding areas! My Team Academy BELONGS in EVERY room, to make a wide lane for Special needs (MVP) individuals and their families! On top of that, I said, you know I really need to make time to get a meeting with the president of Thomson Chamber of Commerce when I get everything together...when I say GOD will put you where you NEED to be, and still not have it all together, if you just keep the faith! Sat down to eat lunch networking with another organization on my left, but on my right..... was the President of the Mcduffie County Chamber of Commerce!!!!

📢 Do you know any caregivers with school-aged special needs children? My Team Academy is in partnership with the Thomson Family Y for a FREE event this Saturday November 22, 2025 6-8pm. This event is for the whole family! Our MVP players will be in the studio enjoying music, games and food with supervised volunteer staff. Caregivers will be across the hallway enjoying food, games and small presentation from My Team Academy and it's future plans. NOT just that the siblings of those MVP players will be enjoying movie and popcorn in another area so our MTA volunteer staff can create a space where we can lighten a load even if it's just for 2 hours.

My Team Academy is a non-profit organization that began so we could be a voice for not just the individuals with special needs but their parents, siblings, family and friends! We are all in this together. We would like to build a community that offers caregiver support groups, events for our MVP players (individuals with special needs) and raise funds to have an after school program so that our MVP players will have a safe an inclusive environment while their caregivers can work or just have that breathing time. Our first fundraiser are our My Team Academy shirts. We would love the community support through donations, volunteers at upcoming events, like and sharing posts. If you would like to purchase a shirtwe would love the support. Thank you to all who have purchased, your shirts are on the way!

Hi, my name is LaKesha Lulu Williams founder of My Team Academy Inc and would like to formally introduce our page. This has been a blessing that I have prayed for. Advocating for those whose voice is not as loud is what this organization is all about. Many of you know my son, Xavier "My Team " Reid is on the Autism spectrum and our family have been through many challenges. Having to work part-time to get home in time for Xavier to get off the bus, getting kicked out of childcare centers who tried but didn't have the proper staff for his needs. Not having a special needs family support group that was local. Well, the wait is over and we couldn't be more happier! We are here to support every individuals unique differences. We look forward to supporting school-aged special needs individuals and their families. We would love your prayers, support, donations and volunteer service. Lets make a wide lane for families with special needs and show them they are just as important. Remember this logo!!!
