Teens leading. 🙌

Raising a new generation of gospel messengers is at the heart of our vision and strategy. It doesn’t matter the country or region. Teens stepping up to share and lead their peers, that’s First Priority!

Back together. Back to prayer. 🙏

After a long holiday, students at Mkwichi School’s First Priority Club in Malawi resumed their weekly gatherings with prayer.

Where else would they start but before the throne of God?

At just 15 years old, Sarnisha stood in front of the youth at Hosanna Anglican Church in Johor and led the fellowship for the very first time.

It was a beautiful picture of a young person stepping forward, using the gifts God has given her, and leading others for His glory.

The young people also spent time intentionally praying for their friends, asking God for opportunities to reach them with the gospel.

This is what we love to see: teens leading, teens praying, and teens using their gifts to make Jesus known.

On Focus Week, First Priority clubs equip each other with tools and encouragement to share the gospel.

Then we gather in small groups we call FocusGroups to pray intentionally for our friends and for opportunities to share Jesus with them.

Prayer and evangelism always go together.

We pray because the Holy Spirit is the One who draws hearts to Jesus. And we prepare so that when the opportunity comes, we are ready to share the hope we have in Him.

This is a peer to peer great commission strategy.

Pray intentionally. Be ready. Share Jesus.

He gathered a small group of young people.

They left their parents.

They left their jobs.

He spent time with them.

He taught them.

He showed them how to serve.

He showed them how to share the good news.

Then He sent them out.
“He appointed twelve that they might be with him and that he might send them out to preach.”
Mark 3:14

He didn’t just do it at the end.

He did it at the beginning.

Jesus did not simply gather people to listen.

He gathered disciples to GO.

“As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.”
John 20:21

That is still the mission.

Gather a new generation.

Equip them.

Disciple them.

Send them.

The world needs the gospel, and the next generation can carry it.

Ethiopia is one of the oldest Christian nations in the world.

But today, millions of teenagers across Ethiopia are growing up in a new generation with new challenges and new influences. Millions need to hear the gospel. We have the share the message again.

Who will share it with them? Who will God send to tell them?

We believe God can raise up Christian teenagers who will pray for their friends, share the gospel, make disciples, and reach their own generation.

For God has planned that every generation must set their hope anew on Him and His promises.

God is always doing a new thing.

A message send from a youth leader in Moldova this month. We sow and sow and sow in our young people and Lord transforms them. We see growth. We see fruit. We see attendees become leaders. Because of the work of the Holt Spirit we see…… completely different people.

Our teenagers are not just the Church of the future. They are the Church today!

For Jesus, discipleship was never simply “wait and listen.”

It was go and tell.

Jesus didn’t just call His disciples to learn from Him. He sent them out to share the good news.

Our teenagers can do the same, if we will see them like Jesus does.

Wherever a Christian goes, the light of Christ goes with them.
