They'll never forget moments like this. For a lot of our kids, this wasn't just their first time seeing a cow up close... it was their first time holding a bunny, petting a baby goat, feeding chickens, and experiencing life on a farm. So instead of taking the kids to the farm, we brought the farm to them. The laughter, the excitement, the curiosity & the smiles that couldn't be wiped off their faces. This is why Chair City Rising exists.

Because every child deserves experiences that open their eyes to a bigger world. Moments that spark curiosity, build confidence, and create memories they'll carry long after summer camp ends. Sometimes education doesn't happen at a desk.

Sometimes it has four legs, floppy ears, and says "moo."🐄💙

Today was one of those days our scholars won’t forget. 💛 Huge thank you to Ms. Tee for bringing Camp Courage: Trying Is How You Fly! to Chair City Rising. Through laughter, music, and storytelling, our students learned that courage isn’t about never being afraid, it’s about trying anyway. Thank you for pouring into our kids and reminding them that every big dream starts with the courage to take the first step. We appreciate you! 💙🧡

Learning tastes a little sweeter when you can make it yourself. 🍪❤️

Today our scholars rolled up their sleeves, baked healthy chocolate chip cookies, enjoyed story time, and discovered that learning can be fun, interactive, and delicious!

A huge thank you to Hunter and Lindsay from Communities In Schools of Thomasville for investing your time and hearts into our scholars. Partnerships like these are what make the Chair City Rising Summer STEM & Literacy Academy so special.

🚔💙 Another unforgettable day at the Chair City Rising Summer STEM & Literacy Academy!

Today, our scholars had the opportunity to spend time with the incredible officers of the Thomasville Police Department. They didn’t just talk about law enforcement, they shared the importance of leadership, integrity, service, and making positive choices both in and out of the classroom.

Our goal is to expose students to careers, mentors, and role models who inspire them to dream bigger and lead with purpose. Today’s visit did exactly that.

A heartfelt thank you to the Thomasville Police Department for investing in our scholars and showing them what it means to serve a community with professionalism and heart. Partnerships like these help shape the next generation of leaders.

The future is bright, and we’re just getting started. 💙🚔

🚒🔥 What an incredible day at the Chair City Rising Summer STEM & Literacy Academy!

Today our scholars had the opportunity to learn from the brave men and women of the Thomasville Fire Department. From exploring the fire truck to learning about fire safety, teamwork, leadership, and what it truly means to serve your community, our students were engaged from start to finish.

Experiences like these are what our academy is all about connecting classroom learning with real-world careers and introducing our scholars to the everyday heroes who make a difference right here in our community.

A huge thank you to the Thomasville Fire Department for taking time out of your day to pour into the next generation. Your impact reached far beyond today’s visit. The future is bright, and today it got a little hotter. 🔥🚒❤️

🦁✨ TODAY IS THE DAY! ✨🦁

Welcome to Day 1 of Chair City Rising’s Summer STEM & Literacy Academy 2026: The Pride Lands of Learning!

For the next five weeks, our scholars won’t just be spending their summer, they’ll be building their future.

📚 Reading to strengthen their minds.
🔬 Exploring science with curiosity.
💻 Creating through technology.
⚙️ Solving problems through engineering.
👑 Growing as leaders in their schools, homes, and community.

Just like Simba discovered his purpose, our scholars will spend this summer discovering theirs.

Today marks the beginning of a journey filled with learning, leadership, friendship, innovation, and endless possibilities. We cannot wait to watch these young people grow into the leaders they were created to be.

Thank you to every parent, volunteer, supporter, and community partner who helped make this vision possible.
