Congratulations to Ashley Tabor, EDW Class of 2011, on being elected as the first ever female Captain of her fire company.

This week was an historic one for the Thibodaux Volunteer Fire Department as we swore our first ever female Fire Company Captain, Ashley Tabor, into office. Ashley was elected Captain by the members of her company, Protector Fire Company No. 2. Ashley was also the first female Line Officer to serve in the department when she was elected as 2nd Lieutenant in 2024. Ashley began her service in the TVFD in early 2020.

“Capt. Tabor is a dedicated firefighter and a strong leader. I have enjoyed watching her growth since joining the TVFD, and we look forward to her continued leadership and service” said Fire Chief Tony Boudreaux.

Congratulations, Ashley, and thank you for your service to your department, company, and community!
