Catapult it and watch it fly, grab a baseball bat and smash it to pieces, or watch it explode on impact from an 80-foot drop. At their regular meeting on August 8, the Conroe City Council agreed to propose a tax rate of $0.4272 per $100 valuation for the 2024-25 fiscal year.

This proposed rate of $0.4272 per $100 valuation is the same as last year's rate (FY 2023-24). While the council can choose to adopt a lower rate, they cannot increase it, according to Collin Boothe, the director of finance and assistant city administrator.

The proposed tax rate of $0.4272 per $100 valuation is the same tax rate as in FY 2023-24.

Kyuramen is bringing its delicious Japanese ramen to Shenandoah! This new location will offer a variety of ramen styles, including pork, chicken, and vegetable, along with unique appetizers and rice burgers, which use rice patties instead of traditional buns. Get ready to enjoy an authentic ramen experience right in our area.

Howard Hughes Holdings Inc. has begun construction on the transformation of the Grogan’s Mill Village Center, turning the former Randalls into a state-of-the-art county library and community center. In partnership with Montgomery County, this 55,000-square-foot project will include a dedicated children’s area, young adult room, podcast room, 3D printer, and a 100-person theater-style classroom. The community center will feature conference rooms, a multifunctional meeting hall, and spaces for residents of all ages.

The redevelopment, expected to complete next summer, will also upgrade the retail portion of the center, ensuring existing businesses and The Woodlands Farmers’ Market remain open during construction. Stay tuned for more updates and new tenant announcements!

Conroe ISD is moving forward with its largest project from the 2023 bond approval: a new $300 million high school, Timber Mill High School! 🏫 This project, designed by Houston-based PBK Architects Inc., aims to address growth and capacity concerns, serving 3,800 students with state-of-the-art facilities. Construction begins in January 2025, with the school set to open in August 2027. This high school, along with two new elementary schools, is part of a historic $2 billion bond to enhance education infrastructure in the district. Stay tuned for more updates! 🌟
