Good Evening! When we last checked in a year ago we had little Dandy, now known as Bella, in rescue. Dandy’s adopters sent her to our trainer upon her adoption, and she has been living the spoiled life ever since.
At the time we had Dandy, we also had five year old Duke in rescue, who came to us quite chubby. Duke spent 4 months dieting and walking in the summer heat to trim nearly 8 pounds off his physique. He was adopted by a previous adopter of our Cole, who had passed away after many years with his family. Duke was fully vetted and also had a dental - he did have a tooth extracted as well - and became a velcro dog once he went to his new home. His mom says he has maintained his optimum weight and is doing well.
In addition, we enrolled Guero, who was born in Mexico, into our rescue. A family brought him back to Texas after visiting relatives because his family in Mexico couldn’t take care of him. Since his family here owned 4 cocker spaniels, a young pup like Guero became a little too much to handle, so they turned him into rescue at a little over a year old. Guero was fully vetted, had all vaccinations, was neutered, and eventually found his forever home with a family who had lost their elderly cocker spaniel to Cushings disease. Living with 4 cockers as a young pup, Guero was well socialized and sweet as could be. Typical of any 2 year old pup, he had lots of energy and loved to play but was also very loving, affectionate, and social.
