Poet W R Rodriguez of The BX gifted the Bronx with some copies of his poetry books. We love it, the name drops of familiar places, references to The BX through different places and times. Go pick up a copy in most of our stores this week. These two are at La Liga.

Now this is a special one. Our Munchies bookshelf in Baychester was advocated for and arranged by one lovely . We thank you! We had two takers before we even left: one, a young man who led with "I don't read" and ended with "Do you have any books about life?" The second, a grandmother telling us how she used to take her own kids to the formerly nearby Barnes & Noble, now wanting to pick up books for her 5yr old granddaughter. Our hearts smiled to contribute even in small measure to bringing books back to the very deserving Baychester/Co-Op City Community and talking to the people about their stories and what they want to see on our newest shelf. Special shout out to the owner, Alex, who is all for it for his community.

So many books, so little space! We're temporarily only accepting book about health/nutrition and self-improvement, books in Spanish and books on our Lit. Bar registry (see prior post) to fill requests from our community. But there are other ways to give. Consider monetary donations to keep BxB serving the public. We are a 501(c)(3) and your donations are tax deductible.
