Who knew hanging at a 155 year old cemetary in the morning would be fun. James Bowie CRT Chapter toured Graves of Texas Settlers, Union Soldiers, and Civil War Soldiers. We saw the resting place of LBJs in-laws, Capt. William Pickney Rose, the Youree Family (of Youree Drive in Shreveport), and more. We went under ground, over the river, and literally through the woods finding more treasures. We had lunch and a scavenger hunt at the General Store in Jonesville, TC Lindsey & Co. built in 1847. Also, what's a historical trip without stopping at road side markers. We had dinner at Bear Creek Smokehouse near Marshall. All a must see if you like history, or great place for some BBQ!
