Just like every butterfly has its own unique pattern, every person has their own abilities, strengths, personality, and way of experiencing the world. 🦋✨

Disability doesn’t take away someone’s ability to create, participate, learn, dream, laugh, contribute, and make a difference. Sometimes people just need the right support, the right opportunity, and someone willing to see what they CAN do. 💙

Our butterflies may all look different—and that’s exactly the point.

Different doesn’t mean less.
Different means unique.
Different means beautiful.

Today at Shine On, our individuals practiced cooking and kitchen skills while making one of everyone’s favorite treats
S’MORES!

From following directions and gathering ingredients to taking turns, practicing kitchen safety, and enjoying the finished product, this activity was all about learning through FUN!

These simple activities help build confidence, independence, communication, decision-making, and everyday life skills—all while making memories together!

Shine On TXK is looking for a reliable, dependable part-time team member to join us specifically as a fill-in staff member!

This position is perfect for someone who wants part-time hours and has flexibility to step in when one of our regular staff members calls in or is unavailable.

What we’re looking for:
• Reliable and dependable
• Flexible availability
• Comfortable working with adults with disabilities
• Patient, caring, and positive
• Able to work as part of a team
• Willing to help with activities, life skills, outings, and daily routines
• Available on short notice when needed

This is not a guaranteed set-schedule position — we are specifically looking for someone who can be our go-to person when we need coverage.

WOULD be excellent for a retired person

We are so excited to be attending the Franklin County Handicapped Rodeo again this year! ❤️

⏰ 9:00 AM–1:30 PM

Parents, please pay close attention to the papers being sent home!

Everyone who attends MUST have a signed waiver returned before the event. Please sign and return all required paperwork as soon as possible.

If the paperwork is not signed and returned, your individual WILL NOT be able to attend the rodeo.

We want all of our individuals to be able to enjoy this fun-filled day, so please make sure those papers make it back to us!

We can’t wait for another AMAZING rodeo day!
