We, the Board of the Tenmile Cemetery, so far would like to thank all of you that have already sent donations. Your response has been overwhelming and we sooo appreciate it! I also love all the personal notes that you send. I do read each and every one of them. You have become family. Your donations do stay with the cemetery. Even if we don't spend them right away, they are there for emergencies and general expenses. Yes, even our cemetery has expenses. None of our board members are paid. It could be we need rock for the road or a tree cut down for safety reasons, painting, upgrading, etc. If it was not for all of you we could not do any of these things. The new Veteran Plagues would not have been possible, the New Vet stakes for the flags, fixing the lawn mower, donating to the hard working kids that come up and help us clean every year. I could go on and on! Your donations do this and in turn your loved ones buried here have a nice, peaceful resting place. That is the ultimate goal. Thank you again from the bottom of my heart and the Tenmile Cemetery Board. 💞💞💞 Mary

Clean up day was May 17th, 2025, we again had the wonderful boys and girls from The Cow Tippers and Bacon Bits 4-H groups with their parents and headed up by leader, Sherrie Urbaniak. This year I forgot the sign in sheet and there were a few new faces. Maybe you will recognize them from the photo. Again, thank you all for coming out! A special thanks to The Tenmile Volunteer Fire Dept. for bringing over their fire truck to wash the fence. That made a task that never got done to a done deal!!! There was also 3 young men from the dept. that donned gloves and w**ded as well!
Please remember all of these folks in your thanks!

We managed to find a guy to do the pressure washing of the Gazebo, shed and the pavillion in September. Tough job with no water or electric available at the cemetery. Crystal Clear Windows out of Roseburg did a great job for us. We had a paint day earlier this month. We do have a little touch up to do, but overall the Gazebo has a new coat of sealant, the shed and the pavillion are in progress with fresh white paint. Dan Sherman and Mitch Osborn along with a few others from the Tenmile Historic Community Church did the work while I brought them all lunch and cheered them on!! I will post photos soon.
To all that have donated to the Cemetery, we thank you. Your donations have made these improvements possible. If you would still like to donate, you can send them with our appreciation to: Tenmile Cemetery PO Box 48 Tenmile, Oregon 97481

Does anyone in the Tenmile Community have a portable water trailer? We need water at the cemetery to clean the buildings and gazebo before we can re paint. We have exhausted ourselves with trying to find someone that has one and do the work. Any help would be appreciated. Please contact me if you have 1 or know anyone that does that we could use. Thanks, Mary 541-580-5142

Clean up day Saturday, May 18th, 2024
A big huge thank you to the kids and parents from the Tenmile 4H Clubs- Cow Tippers and Bacon Bits. Also a big kudos to Sherrie Urbaniak for again organizing and getting the kids there with all the equipment. Everyone did an outstanding job as usual. I did a sign in sheet so that I could personally recognize all that came and helped, giving up their Saturday morning. I will apologize in advance if I forgot someone. Some may not have signed my sheet. Please add any missing names in the comments.
Dan, Sage, M Liss and McKenzie Shrum, Damien and Cody Morrison, Lerraina and Charles Cotton, Sophie and Lilly Cook, Cindy and Skyler Ferner, Laura and Beth Linville, John, John Jr, Ruth and Matthew DeRoss, Gregory Berger, Tiffany Kremers, Alex Walker, Jebba, CJ and Dakota Seal, and Gleg Burson.
From the community we had Alex and Colene Freadman, Tom Sawyer and GO Pederson. From the Cemetery board present were myself, Jacob Stoffal, Valorie Pederson, Paula Sawyer, Mitch and Judy Osborn and Jessica McGrew.
A lot of hard work was accomplished! We enjoyed laughter and shared hot dogs. The weather was perfect, not to hot or cold. Overall a fabulous day. Thank you all again!!!!💞💞💞 Do go visit the livestock barns at the fair this year and give these wonderful kids a personal thank you. They deserve it.

WOW!! What an amazing job yet again by the Tenmile 4-H groups, the Cow Tippers and the Bacon Bits. Also thanks to the adults involved to make this clean up day another successful one. As a community please support these young people in their endeavors and give them kudos for their accomplishments. I would also like to thank our Cemetery Board for their donations of food and drinks for everyone and helping to execute another year of a task well done.
