Have to take a second to brag on our 8U & 9U Renegades for the way they competed this weekend! 💥⚾️
Our 8U boys had their tournament turned into a one-day event and were the only team in 8u to battle through two pool play games before bracket play. These boys showed up ready to compete!
8U Pool Play Results:
⚾️Renegades vs. Canes 8U — 5-5 Tie🚨
⚾️Renegades vs. Bambinos — 9-2 Win🚨
The 8U squad faced the Canes again in bracket play and fell short by just 2 runs. After playing 3 back-to-back games, the boys never stopped fighting and put together a great defensive performance all day long. So proud of the effort and heart they showed on the field! 💪
Our 9U boys also put together a strong weekend, finishing 2-2 falling short to the #1 seed in the semi championship!
9U Pool Play Results:
⚾️Renegades vs. Bambinos — 16-0 Win🚨
⚾️Renegades vs. Disciples Baseball — 7-11 Loss🚨
The 9U team entered Sunday as the 4th seed and got another shot at Disciples Baseball in bracket play. The boys came back locked in and flipped the script with a huge 13-3 win! 🔥
After that, they faced the #1 seed, Waco Warriors 9U Witt in the semi-championship and battled until the VERY end in an absolute nail-biter. Tied 6-6 late in the game with a runner on base, Waco hit a deep ball to right field to bring in the winning run, handing Renegades a tough 6-7 loss. What a game from start to finish!👏⚾️🔥
No matter the outcome, we are beyond proud of both teams. The growth and fight these boys continue to show every single weekend is EXACTLY what this program is about!! We are truly building something special, and we are incredibly thankful for all of the parents who trust us to coach and mentor their children….❤️
