Woohoo 🎉 It doesn't show it here because we got a mailed in donation but we're 87% to reaching the goal for this amazing fundraiser started by our graduate Ashley.

The ladies often come in with very toxic and dysfunctional memories attached to holidays. For many holidays mean fights, arguments, drugs and alcohol.

There's no magic wand to erase the memories however, we can create new memories. We can create new neuropathways after trauma and addiction.

Learning to have fun, socialize, and even just float in the lake without alcohol or substance takes effort.

The ladies are nailin it. We sure missed our other two that were nailin it at work today.

God is so faithful! For the last 7 years most of the transportation needs have been done in personal vehicles of staff or volunteers. Back when we were a drop-in center that wasn't so much.

However in the last 15 months since opening the residential program that has became a lot. It has even hindered us from being able to reach capacity because we didn't have big enough vehicles.

We have prayed and prayed that a way would be made for us to be able to transport 10-12 ladies. While also being able to transport 1 lady at a time.

Today that prayer has been answered 🙏 thanks to A-Life Church.

Not only did we get one van we got two. This was a huge leap of faith. If you would like to financially support this endeavor. There will be a link in the comments to both the HRM website and the current "get rollin" fundraiser campaign.

Tomorrow Tuesday 5/19 @ 11:30am. Kirk and I are going to look at a 12 passenger van. Specific request: its in as good a shape as it sounds like, the insurance is affordable, and that the funding comes in to purchase it.

To some this looks like a shelf full of crafts. However it's really a fun way to increase each lady's employable skills.

Each Friday we learn and practice things like inventory, packaging, labeling. Marketing, purchasing and selling.

However we want to have fun while learning so we do it with table to table crafts. Things that help us stay mindful, occupy our time in a healthy way.

The end product is something beautiful we can sell to put dollars back into the program.

Each and every need Hilltop has had since 2019 has been filled by amazing people like yourselves.

Yall have filled sock drawers, kitchen pantries, fire suppression systems, and so much more.

Ashley a Hilltop graduate and creator of this fundraiser has seen it first hand. She has also reaped the benefits of community coming together.

So far we've had three wonderful people donate to her "let's get rollin" fundraiser. We have over a thousand followers. If everyone just donated $5 we would double her request.
