Alekain’s first students have graduated.

After years of perseverance, online learning, mentorship, and continuing their education despite barriers to learning, four students have now earned their high school diplomas and been accepted into university programs in Malaysia.

Monash University has offered Alekain’s graduates full-ride scholarships at its Malaysian campus. Now, they need support to help make the next step possible.

Over the coming days, we’ll be sharing the stories, goals, and futures of Alekain’s first graduating class.

Education is a fundamental human right, yet millions of girls are still being denied access to school.

In Afghanistan, over 2 million girls are barred from secondary education. Their dreams didn’t disappear. Their ambition didn’t disappear. But their access did.

At Alekain, we work to ensure learning continues, through safe, online education, mentorship, and consistent support that keeps girls connected to their futures.

This International Women’s Day, stand with girls who refuse to give up on education.
